Tommy Has “WrestleMania”
For some reason, Tommy discloses that he’s going to be watching WrestleMania 33 later that night.  He also backed out of a date Friday night to watch the WWE Hall Of Fame wrestling inductions. Incredulous, Alex sits back in horror as Tommy and Ryan reminisce about wrestling days of yore.

Alex’s Secret Best Friend
Tommy invited Alex’s girlfriend, Phyllis, to the movies.  Phyllis ended up invited a few of her friends, including someone named “Garland” that she says is Alex’s “other best friend.”  Tommy bought the tickets and is under the impression Alex would foot the bill.  Before the debate on who should pay is resolved, Tommy busts out a clip from A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan where comedian Ross McCoy recaps a stunt that “Chunks” had to endure on the old show.  If you want to hear the goods on what an intern goes through on radio, you’re not going to want to miss this segment (hint, it involves pubes)

Alex Audio Clips and Ryan’s dogs
Our listeners are the best.  They never fail to capture every perverted/gross/Hitler related comment Alex makes, and mash them into grossly inappropriate perverted clips.  Uncle Vinny  hosts some of the best we’ve ever had.  Ryan is in a bit of a jam, as his wife wants to get ANOTHER dog (making a total of 5 other animals in the house).  He’s not sure how to tell her, but Tommy and Alex have a sure fire “communication method” that’s sure to hit the mark.

98 – Hey Alvin

fashionMatt’s Back!

Tommy and Ryan try to figure out the other guys name, that is, after he messes up the show intro again. Show friend, former Hideout third mic and writer and all around funny man has some audio that drives Alex/ Chunks/ Alvin insane. Tommy and Ryan also found a picture of Alex with his girlfriend and her friends on Instagram. They are disgusted by how he dresses in front of her friends. They try to figure out what food he’s eating in the photo while they critique his lack of fashion sense.

Alex to the future

Alex attempts to recap a story of confrontation with the cable guy when he lets slip that while checking his credit report, there was a mistake in his file that showed he opened an account in 1972 – eight years before he was even born.  While trying to continue with his story, Tommy and Ryan are convinced that he went back in time to stop various events that would have happened in 1972, complete with an Uncle Vinny CLASSIC call-in.

Cord Cutter
Finally, Alex gets to finish his recap of his battle with the cable company, and of course it doesn’t go easily.  They NDY crew then finishes off the show with a discussion of how American ISPs take advantage of paying customers, why do some straight men speak with an “effeminate sounding” lisp.

91 – Better Luck UpChuck

Good Luck UpChuckChris D’elia

Tommy and Alex give their review of Chris D’elia as well as their experience at the DC Improv.  Though Chris was great, and provided a completely unheard set, the Improv itself might have a few things to work on. Plus, Tommy talks about the hilarious movie “Slow Learners.”

Chunks/Chucks From the Hideout

Over the past 2 weeks, “Chunks” and “Chucks from the Hideout” were mentioned on A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan and Real Radio 104.1. Tommy takes Alex/Alan/Chunks/Chucks to task for going on other shows to promote their old radio show instead of Not Dead Yet.

Alex’s Non-cation & 80’s hits.

Alex had a vacation… In typical Chunks fashion, it was a horrible miserable time, complete with a woman bossing him around, making him spend hundreds of dollars on a “FREE” vacation and nude underage girls. Plus, there was a situation in the bathroom. The only thing that can make it better is a deeply logical discussion of the best 80’s songs and tv shows.

82 – Sam and Hitler

Chunks is horrible
NDY has NEVER gotten as many comments as they have in the past week in regards to how HORRIBLE their friend(?) Sid was at show friend Matt Albert’s wedding last week.  Though “Chunks” as Tommy and Ryan have gotten to calling him, isn’t much better.  While trying to defend himself, he flubs his speech and the flood gates open on the Chunks jokes.

TV and Time Machines
The weather in NOVA has been a bit drab lately, so the crew has been getting by with some really good TV binging until Undateable Live comes back.  If you haven’t checked these out, here’s the list with GOOD arguments why they won’t waste your time:  Love, Flaked, The People vs. OJ Simpson, Married, and lastly 11.22.63 which has Time Maaaachiiiineee elements to it.  A discussion arises as to what each member of the show would change if they had the ability to alter history.  Question:  Would Tommy go fix the world’s problems or use the power to eliminate every other man on earth?

Alex’s Nemisis
Alex thinks he was responsible for getting his arch nemesis fired from his work, while Tommy and Ryan think it was probably something else.  Alex INSISTS that it was his doing, even though Tommy and Ryan give LOADS of examples to the contrary.  After listing off all of the reasons why Alex is horrible at his job, maybe he’s the one that should have been fired.

Headlines, Needles, Samantha Sam, and Hitler
Yeah, this part of the show goes a bit all over the place, starting with a new segment involving the lovely people who leave comments on the internet.  Can you guess the headline of an article simply by reading the comments section?  Find out how Tommy and Ryan did.  Ryan comments that he could easily be one of the “creepy” comment posters, as Tommy reads out creepy texts that Alex sends him ALL the time  (Sorry Sam).  Tommy ends the show with a review on Gwen Stefani’s new song and a “special” flatulence symphony to close out the episode.

72 – You’re the Worst

You're the WorstTommy and “Chunks”

Tommy starts off the show with his favorite thing in the world, making fun of Alex, or “Chunks” as he’s still known by in the radio world. Tommy plays some clips from the latest A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan BDM show, in which Tom and Dan refer to when “Chunks” got a staph infection from being dragged over a dirty carpet during the old Real Radio 104.1 days. Tommy and Alex reminisce about Clear Channel, Tom and Dan and the old show they used to work on.  You will NOT want to miss the shocking behind the scenes stories.

You’re The Worst
With so much good TV on, Tommy and Alex delve into some of the very well written, and genuinely funny shows on TV, including:  You’re the Worst, Man Seeking Woman and Casual.  Tommy is obsessed with them because they are adult tv shows that don’t insult his intelligence while remaining funny.

Finally, after discussing a plot on Casual, Tommy and Alex go into the actual complicated logistics of group sex, and if they would be able to pull it off or not.

55 – Coach You Ready?

Big Time In Hollywood FloridaNew Songs
Tommy starts off playing NEW songs about Alex and Ryan. Neither is happy about their new theme songs. The guys try to make Alex less negative by reading enlightening him with several Ryantology quotes. Plus, Alex was invited to be the announcer for a baseball game – a baseball game played by 5 year old kids. There was no audio equipment, and he almost crippled an older man. Luckily, we have audio of it all!

Big Time In Hollywood, FL
After the break, Tommy talks about his favorite new show Big Time In Hollywood, FL. Tommy loves the show and the guys accuse him of stalking one of the stars of the show. Find out why he loves the show so much!

Also this week, Tommy was a local high school. He wishes he could go back to High School. The guys reminisce about why High School was so great, plus their first sexual experiences. The show closes with Ryan’s “shitty” week. His dogs are making his life very difficult…

53 – “Curious Gays” by Chunks from the Hayaway

Tommy & Matt at EDBDTommy’s star treatment in Florida
Tommy is back from vacationing and doing radio work in Orlando, Florida. While he was there, he attended WJRR’s Earthday Birthday festival featuring Slash, Rise Against and Five Finger Death Punch. Alex is mad he wasn’t invited and Tommy rubs in his face the fact that he hung out with rock stars, Dickerman, Matt Albert and Tom and Dan. Tommy also rubs in the fact that everyone continues to call Alex by his old radio name, “Chunks.” Unfortunately, Tommy ended up in the hospital while on vacation… find out why.

Alex Defiles a Neighbor’s Apartment
Tommy talks about how he would pay extra for an airline that didn’t allow children and talks about the hellish trip back with a screaming baby and a juggalo. Then Alex talks about the time he almost died due to an allergic reaction and his father didn’t care. Uncle Vinny joins the show to talk about Alex’s book. Plus, Alex finally gets his tub fixed and then does the most disgusting, disrespectful thing ever in his neighbor’s apartment.

13 – Hideout and Hollywood

Kyle SafiehAlex Has Violent Dreams & Another Bad Date
Alex talks about a dream in which he and Tommy KILLED a former radio coworker… and it only gets more violent and disgusting from there. Alex thinks these dreams are normal, despite the fact that Tommy tells him they aren’t. Later, Alex talks about his latest awful OKCupid date – Plus, the woman calls in to give us her side.

The Boobs & Butts Show
They’re back! Boobs and Butts are in studio reviewing naked female celebrities. Things start out great, but tension quickly builds and the unexpected happens.

Letter to Tommy & Kyle Safieh
Tommy gets another email asking for advice. He helps try to save a marriage when a husband is worried about the baby weight his wife is putting on. Then we are joined by Kyle Safieh aka SAF. Kyle lives and works in Los Angeles in the TV & Movie industry. He talks about many of the famous people he’s worked with, touring with one of the most famous rock bands in history and much more. His life is more fun than yours. Live vicariously through Kyle on Instagram.

Not Dead Yet – Show #4 “Catherine”

Another Woman in Studio!
Tommy’s hot friend Catherine joins the guys in studio. Then we are “treated” to a jean jacket fashion show from Alex. We delve in to online dating from match.com, Catherine’s love life and she recounts some of the worst guys she’s dated – and it drives Alex insane. Catherine also gives the male listeners some of her pet peeves when guys send her emails from online dating sites. Learn what not to do!

Batman Jean Jacket

The Sadman Diaries
Alex shares a diary entry where he was in CrossFit class with a woman he was hitting on and his (one of many) nemeses. Can he finally land a date and come out on top? Plus, what does Batman have to do with this story? Also, Tommy questions Alex on his refusal to make new friends, especially with women.

Not Dead Yet – The Anger Episode

AngerOne of the best shows yet.

Another third mic no shows, Alex has a new “family” member that Tommy makes fun of and Alex caves and does something he swore he would never do again – Plus, Tommy reads some of his emails from match.com.

In the Sadman Diaries Alex tells the story about how earlier in the week he flipped out at work and had to be physically held down & later goes on a date. Plus, Tommy talks heartbreak about a woman that may have been “the one,” and he let her go…

This and MUCH MUCH more.
