133 – Sethsther

Allison At The MarchEsther Wruk
Though Tommy & Alex THOUGHT they had all the equipment for the show finally up and running… they did not (THANKS ALAN!) and the show intro is botched AGAIN. Allison chastises Alex for his botch-up, and he realizes that Allison is eerily similar to the main character from Freeform’s new series, Alone Together. Tommy agrees with this observation, and Allison’s status as “Esther” is cemented, after she recaps her experience at the women’s march, where she made protesters move out of the way… to get a better picture of herself.

Show Merch
To Alex’s chagrin, Tommy and Allison INSIST on making the first show merchandise feature Tommy giving the Buddy Christ pose on T-shirts and coffee mugs. The idea was spurned after Alex’ GF hung Tommy’s photo in the recording studio to piss him off. Allison recaps her first few days at her new job, and also receives some “helpful” advice from a stranger.

“The Alex”
Whenever someone tries to take advantage to make quick money and fails, that’s just bad luck. Whenever someone tries to do someone a favor, and ends up losing money, THAT’S called “The Alex.” Tommy and Allison get quite the laugh, after Alex recaps trying to do something nice for show friend Geoff. Geoff insists that Alex owes him money, and Tommy and Allison agree, sending Alex into a classic Corolla rage.

107 – Avalanche of Love

Geoff as a fatherGeoff in Studio
Even with a special guest in studio, Alex STILL can’t get a simple show opening to run smoothly.  Tommy suggests that Alex needs to listen to better workout music to help him out.  They crew then plays some of their favorite workout songs. Before you judge, Fallout Boy, and Paul Simon make the list. Then the guys find some “Break Up Song for Guys.”

James Gray and Audio Clips
James Gray from Gray Matter on WPRK gives a shout out to Tommy, which Alex whines is completely inappropriate and full of lies.  To make Alex feel better, Tommy produces some clips of Alex saying potentially VERY illegal activities.  Alex denies it, but you’ll have to decide what the truth is.

Geoff is Getting Married

Show friend Geoff is getting married, but he doesn’t seem to have ANY idea about when or where.  Tommy wants to give the best man speech, but only make it about himself, and Ryan tries to try and get OUT of making the best man speech.  We then get a call from Geoff’s future stepson and we find out that Geoff has made some questionable choices how he treats his fiance’s kid.

Tommy is going to LA

A crazy, packed, final segment includes a revelation that Tommy is going to LA for the hell of it.  Alex tries to jinx it, which somehow turns into a very scientific discussion about porn, sex habits, and when you’ve gone “too far” in the bedroom.

105 – Geoff 3:16

alex pajamasNew Year, New Open
Though Alex isn’t really a fan.  Tommy claims it’s a hit, and there’s a lot of truths about Alex’s lifestyle… THANKS Nick W.  Tommy would have recorded a show last week, however Alex decided that would be a good time to get sick and wreck everything.  ON TOP of that, Alex wrote down some of his thoughts while delirious from diarrhea. See if you agree, or if you can even make sense of them.

Happy Chanukahmas!
Tommy insists that Alex is Jewish.  A statement which Alex tries to deny, but has trouble after Tommy’s real life mother calls in to back up his claims.  If Alex were Jewish, his Christmas might have gone a little smoother however.  It started off with an “innocent” action from Tommy, setting into motion a chain of events that could only happen to Alex.  On top of that, he’s forced to wear PJ’s near kids, abandon his dog for a day, and be ridiculed by someone he calls a “friend.”

Tommy’s the Best Man!…. again
He’s not really, but according to Tommy, how could he NOT be?  Our good friend Geoff got engaged over the holidays, and OF COURSE Tommy thinks he will naturally be the best man.  Not only that, Tommy has a few ideas of how he thinks the wedding show go.  Have you ever been to a wedding that takes place in a cage, officiated by Brother Love from the WWE?  Of course you haven’t!  But you would if Tommy had his way. Plus, find out why Ryan now hates Geoff.

95 – You Know

Bachelor PartyLetters to Tommy
After a rough start to the show (thanks again Alex) Tommy decides to bless all the listeners with HIS favorite segment… Letters to Tommy. Today’s letter comes from someone named “Ryan” who is jealous of his best friend “Geoff’s” new girlfriend and he needs Tommy’s advice on how to seduce her and Geoff into a 3-way. The segment takes a very strange turn as Alex let’s slip a fetish of his that gets really, REALLY creepy. It’s so odd, a listener was inspired to call in and chime in with his “AAAAAAApinion”.

The Bachelor Party & Google Feud
Ryan attended a bachelor party that was… smelly.  Don’t get it?  Neither did Tommy or Alex.  After listening to Ryan describe one of the grossest, lamest bachelor parties of all time, Tommy taps out and starts playing Google Feud.  Google Feud is based off of Family Feud, but with Google Auto-correct. Play along and see if you can do better than the NDY crew and stay tuned to the very end of the music.

92 – Love Letter To Melissa Reese & Duff McKagan

Melissa ReeseGuns N’ Roses

Alex fucks up the start of the show in the most “Chunks’ed up” way possible.  They recover quickly though as show friend Geoff is in studio with a big announcement, but first:  GUNS N’ ROSES!  Tommy and Alex went to see the big reunion show 25 years in the making.  Before they even get there though, Alex’s failed scheme to get one over on “dumb ass suckers” as he calls them almost wrecks the show. Plus, Tommy completely loses his mind and melts down during a rant.

A Love Letter to Duff McKagan & Melissa Reese

The Guns N’ Roses show was one of the best performances Tommy and Alex have ever seen, but they can’t seem to stop gushing about Duff and Melissa…but for very different reasons.  Besides being a cool overall guy (we interviewed him on the old show) he has an AMAZING body, and Tommy and Alex can’t stop gushing about him.  Tommy realizes what kind of woman he really wants to be with after researching Melissa Reese. Melissa is a genuine artist and Tommy reflects on how talented she is and how he wishes he could be that creative. Alex just gets mad that Tommy is moving in on his “GF”.  This segment is STRANGE, but oh so satisfying.

Geoff has a Girlfriend

Yep, Geoff has a girlfriend and Alex tries to immediately destroy his happy relationship with his “good advice about women”.  To get back at him for his stupidity, Tommy and Geoff proceed to give EVERY Game of Thrones spoiler EVER to Alex… who is 3 seasons behind. The segment is capped off with a call from the woman of the hour herself that DOES NOT disappoint.

69 – Time Of My Life

dirty dancingShow friend Geoff joins us in studio for the FIRST time back from college break, though he may have regrets as the rest of the show just starts making fun of him.  Geoff is giving the best man speech at Ryan’s wedding but might not be up to the task.  “Jeff with a J” calls in asking for some helpful advice for a best man speech that he is also giving for his friend “Brian”.  Star Wars references in a best man speech? Yes please!

Billboard Hit or Tommy Favorite
Tommy introduces a new game where the NDY crew guesses if the song he plays is a top billboard hit, or a guilty pleasure song that Tommy jams out to in his car.  You will NOT want to miss Tommy singing along to Tove Lo.  Tommy then goes on to volunteer his services to be the DJ at Ryan’s wedding, complete with a set list of songs he would play, including a special guest call-in from Ronnie James Dio that is one for the ages.

Geoff loves Ryan’s Fiance
Ryan has to take off, which gives Tommy and Alex an opportunity to finally dig into Geoff’s love affair (or so he wishes) with Ryan’s fiancé. Tommy and Alex encourage Geoff to just run with his feelings and propose to Ryan’s Fiance immediately after his best man speech.  They also supply Geoff with some EXTRA tips to help him win her over for sure.

54 – Uncle Dickie

alex-shortsGraduation Party
Tommy, Alex and Ryan traveled over an hour to their friend Geoff’s graduation party. His father and uncle cause awkward moments for Tommy and Alex. Plus, Alex irritates Ryan’s fiance. This is segment will make you cringe from the awkwardness.

Ryantology & The Fake Dad
Alex is having problems. Ryan, Tommy and Geoff tell him he needs to embrace Ryantology. Alex is at a kids basketball game and is mistaken for one of the fathers and an insulting moment ensues. An update on Ryan’s weight loss challenge. Plus, Geoff pisses off Ryan and ruins the show in the process.

37 – Misery Loves Company

Not Dead Yet We are back. Ryan and Geoff from Eight Bit Radio join us for the show. We talk about what we’ve been up to since the hiatus, Alex is racist, Tommy is made fun of because he has issues at his dance school and Uncle Vinny calls in to talk about the Thanksgiving meal he is cooking. It’s a sooo goooodddd.

Then we play songs that we are embarrassed to like, and a Sad Man Diary that brings Tommy to legitimate tears.
