85 – Mr. Moneybags

pink-monsterRyan Returns
Yep, he’s back…and in a baseball uniform? Odd, but we’ll get to that later because something much more pressing needs to be addressed… Kate Quigley. It’s no secret that NDY are huge fans of hers, but Tommy finds an amazing video of her playing basketball in high heels, a truly amazing feat! Tommy and Alex comment on how truly talented Kate is and wish she’d come to the East coast to see her standup. Tommy also supplies a new quote from Alex’s “girlfriend” Eden Dranger who has some truly memorable Tweets (Don’t worry we don’t rip you off Eden!)

Batter Up
Ryan is trying to relive his youth by joining an adult baseball league. He neglected to change and even wore a cup to the show, which he clearly stuffed. Tommy and Alex can’t help but to call out how ridiculous he looks, and make some jokes at his expense. Tommy comments how he hates movies, and they end up like most of his dates… expensive and an hour and 45 minutes of boredom.

ANOTHER wedding
Alex hates phones, so much so that a special caller chimes in ON THE PHONE to annoy Alex. After he calms down, Alex describes a mishap he had talking on the phone with his girlfriend Phyllis. She made the mistake of calling him and putting him on speaker phone… with her entire family listening. What results is one of the most awkward moments you’ll ever hear. On top of that, Alex made an ass of himself at Phyllis’ sister’s wedding and proves to be truly wretched.

The Pink Monster
Ross from A mediocre Time with Tom and Dan inquired on a forum what happened to Alex’s old car that he had in Florida. The story of this car and it’s exploits are almost movie worthy. It started off Pink, and ended up as a two toned gray and red monster with a neon sign on the back. With cops, poop, and garbage tales, you will NOT want to miss the journey of the Pink Monster.

Alex is Rich?
Alex and Ryan get into a bit of a heated debate about him missing the show and how Alex handled it, Tommy chimes in on how he’s sick of hearing Alex complain all the time about money. Taken aback, Alex finds out that Tommy and Ryan think Alex is rich. Though he tries to deny it, you’ll have to be the judge. Is he rich, or is he just an idiot (or both!)

72 – You’re the Worst

You're the WorstTommy and “Chunks”

Tommy starts off the show with his favorite thing in the world, making fun of Alex, or “Chunks” as he’s still known by in the radio world. Tommy plays some clips from the latest A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan BDM show, in which Tom and Dan refer to when “Chunks” got a staph infection from being dragged over a dirty carpet during the old Real Radio 104.1 days. Tommy and Alex reminisce about Clear Channel, Tom and Dan and the old show they used to work on.  You will NOT want to miss the shocking behind the scenes stories.

You’re The Worst
With so much good TV on, Tommy and Alex delve into some of the very well written, and genuinely funny shows on TV, including:  You’re the Worst, Man Seeking Woman and Casual.  Tommy is obsessed with them because they are adult tv shows that don’t insult his intelligence while remaining funny.

Finally, after discussing a plot on Casual, Tommy and Alex go into the actual complicated logistics of group sex, and if they would be able to pull it off or not.

52 – Gazoo

gazooGazoo from the Hideout

Alex’s least favorite intern from the Hideout (when it was on Real Radio 104.1) joins the show. He gives an update on what he’s been doing since the show, what it was like working on the show and we recall some of his best/worst moments being on air.

Then the guys recap Ryan’s Engagement Party from the night before. By the end of the party, Tommy and an inappropriately dressed Alex had alienated everyone at the party, including family and friends. Plus, Ryan tells the guys what people were saying about them behind their backs. Do not miss this!

43 – True Bobby on iTunes

SextingThis weeks show if full of ball busting and cringe material. Our show got a two star rating on iTunes, ruining our perfect score. We talk about the guy who gave us the bad review and who on the show is to blame for the low rating. Then we talk about Ryan’s bad day at work, spawning a discussion about the strange people we have worked with in radio and corporate offices. Plus, Ryan makes an admission that shocks Tommy and Alex.

Cringe…
Letters to Tommy is back. This week there are two letters… One letter leads to Tommy and Ryan reading actual sexting conversations they’ve had, but there is a twist…

39 – I’m Not Santa

Geoff is Wilford BrimleyThe show stars with a discussion about being addicted to sugar and junk food. Then we bash someone for being a pushover in relationships and whipped by his girlfriend (who calls in,) and discuss how being in love “is the most disgusting thing you can do.”

We find out that Alex might be Santa Clause in real life (and at his office party) and much much more. Plus, we have a “new” Alex Corolla.

27 – FCC Compliant

salsa dancingReal Radio and Tommy Gets Taken
The guys open the show wondering if their friend, Jack Bradshaw, would put the their show on Real Radio 104.1. Tommy and Alex try to do an FCC compliant segment with mixed results. They also try several different radio formats, trying to find the right fit for a terrestrial show.

Tommy says he wants to work at Real Radio again because he needs money badly. Alex eventually gets to the bottom of the reason. When Tommy went to sign up for dance classes, he was up-sold by the owner and bought an OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive dance package. Even Tommy is shocked at the price he paid. Later, Uncle Vinny calls in trying to get Tommy to invest in his newest business venture.

Alex has Old Timers Disease
Alex talks about various delivery style truck businesses he wishes existed. In the process he loses his track of his thoughts and mentions how he forgets things easily, has a “fuzzy” mind all the time, and how he had to pull over while driving because he thought he was breaking from reality. He also talks about his newest nightmares and his 85th date.

Stay tuned at the end when the guys do a “bonus” segment… it’s them making fart noises to songs… Really mature guys.

25 – Samantha Sam

SamanthaAlex Corolla For Governor 2016
Tommy is going to Boston for a week – Alex, being from Upstate New York, makes it known how much he hates Boston. This leads to Tommy claiming Alex hates everyone and is racist. Alex went on another OkCupid emailing spree. After emailing 15 women in an hour, Tommy tells Alex he should calm down and take a step back. Alex thinks that’s “a challenge” and deletes his profile.

Tommy FINALLY saw Top Gun. He is amazed and impressed that 30 years later, Tom Cruise looks the EXACT same, meanwhile, everyone else in the movie looks TERRIBLE. He wonders if it’s plastic surgery, genetics or the power of Scientology. He and Alex debate whether looking and aging as well as Tom Cruise is worth joining the crazy Church of Scientology.

Hey Nothing… Get Some Confidence
From our Orlando, Florida trip… Get to know Samantha from A Mediocre Time With Tom and Dan. We talk about Alex’s past OkCupid dates (especially Big Bad Mama), Samantha gives Alex some pointers on what he’s doing wrong with women, how she started with Tom and Dan, how our old show played a small part in her getting married and a few behind the scenes stories. Samantha was fantastic (as usual) on the show and super funny.

24 – Comedian Ross McCoy

Comedian Ross McCoyMatch.com Plays A Joke on Alex

Last week, Alex said his Match.com membership was finally running out and he was “free” from the online dating horrors. When Tommy asks how he feels without Match.com in his life, Alex gets upset. Apparently, Match.com isn’t through with Alex just yet…

In what might be one of the most offensive segments we’ve ever done, Tommy plays clips from past Sadman Diaries (real life disaster stories from Alex’s journal) and notices that the things Alex says and believes sound a lot like a famous mass murderer. Listen to the side-by-side comparison for yourself. And then Alex gets serious and gives a touching speech about remembering D-Day and all those that have served our country.

Ross McCoy

From our recent Orlando, FL trip, Comedian Ross McCoy from A Mediocre Time With Tom and Dan stops by our hotel and chats with us for over an hour. The guys recap the troubles Tommy encountered on the plane trip to Orlando (it involves pooping, smelly passengers and Tommy getting pissed off, slamming down the arm rest), WTKS show memories and how we first met Ross, working with Tom and Dan, becoming a comedian, making jokes about toast funny, transcendental meditation and TONS more.

Not Dead Yet – Show #4 “Catherine”

Another Woman in Studio!
Tommy’s hot friend Catherine joins the guys in studio. Then we are “treated” to a jean jacket fashion show from Alex. We delve in to online dating from match.com, Catherine’s love life and she recounts some of the worst guys she’s dated – and it drives Alex insane. Catherine also gives the male listeners some of her pet peeves when guys send her emails from online dating sites. Learn what not to do!

Batman Jean Jacket

The Sadman Diaries
Alex shares a diary entry where he was in CrossFit class with a woman he was hitting on and his (one of many) nemeses. Can he finally land a date and come out on top? Plus, what does Batman have to do with this story? Also, Tommy questions Alex on his refusal to make new friends, especially with women.

Not Dead Yet – The Anger Episode

AngerOne of the best shows yet.

Another third mic no shows, Alex has a new “family” member that Tommy makes fun of and Alex caves and does something he swore he would never do again – Plus, Tommy reads some of his emails from match.com.

In the Sadman Diaries Alex tells the story about how earlier in the week he flipped out at work and had to be physically held down & later goes on a date. Plus, Tommy talks heartbreak about a woman that may have been “the one,” and he let her go…

This and MUCH MUCH more.
